Project

ANGSA VCO, National Association of Autistic Parents of the VCO was founded in 2009, founded by parents of children with autistic functioning. Its mission is to accompany and support families and their children in a path of growth, qualification and social, school and work inclusion, through projects and collaborations with local institutions, but above all with the precious work of the educators of the Xenia social cooperative. , which use psycho-educational approaches and cognitive behavioral therapies based on scientific evidence, aimed at improving their quality of life.

ANGSA VCO asked for our help for the realization of two of their important projects, namely the Pulcini Project, essential for the continuity of their growth and development path (summer meetings for children between 4-8 years, with various activities such as swimming pool, workshops, small trips to the area, to occupy the children after the end of school) and the creation of a Sensory room, that is an environment made with materials that can provide sensory stimuli such as lights, colors, sounds, smells, vibrations, oscillations , etc.

We want to help because we believe that every child can have great possibilities if followed and stimulated continuously in the best way!

Autism

Initially referred to as “Autism Spectrum Disorder” and nowadays changed to Autistic Functioning, it is a different way of functioning of neurodevelopment. It mainly involves language and communication, social interaction, narrow, stereotyped interests and repetitive behaviors.
