Project
In Uruguay, every child who is born is given a doll and every boy a ball: football seems to be in the DNA of the Uruguayans.
Creating a tennis court on the edge of the city of Montevideo is a great opportunity for social integration, to be able to break the myth of football as the only sport and that tennis is only an elite sport.
Aim
In this project in Uruguay we include the participation and collaboration of the Montevideo local government (municipality of Montevideo)
The land owned where the tennis court will be built belongs to the community and this is granted for the development of the project.
The community will collaborate with the use of machines to level the ground in order to leave it in the ideal conditions for the company that will build the concrete platform, it will also be the responsibility of the community to create adequate lighting.
Thanks also to our support there will be the possibility of having physical education teachers to be able to offer tennis lessons to children and a snack after sport.
This will allow children to spend more time in a healthy environment away from the road and to learn more about another sport!
This tennis court will be managed by the neighbors and by the Montevideo administration.
